Map of Bones, by James Rollins

The plot involves a secret society that operates within the Catholic Church who stole the bones of the Magi from the Cathedral in Cologne and killed everyone in the cathedral in the process of the theft. Their ultimate goal is Armageddon. There is more to these bones than meets the eye. The Vatican and the US government join forces to prevent this secret society from achieving their goal. There is lots of scientific research and many facts within the story.  The relationships between the characters will also hold your interest. There is a fair amount of violence in the story. This is a fast-paced, detailed laden thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat until all is resolved at the end.

This is a thriller that has been described as a better read than the DaVinci Code.
