Racing Odysseus: A College President Becomes a Freshman Again, by Roger H. Martin

This is the chronicle of a college’ president’s sabbatical spent as a first year student at St. John’s College in Annapolis.  Martin weaves the classics into the meaning of what he is experiencing as a 61 year old second time around freshman and his observations of the young people starting out in their college lives.  Both funny and poignant–a must read for adults of all ages.

RATING: * * * * * One of the best books I’ve read
