South of Broad, by Pat Conroy

Set in Charleston, S.C. in the late sixties, this is the story of a tightly knit group of teens as they work through the trials and tribulations of life over twenty years. The characters are really likable and the plot will keep you reading well into the night. Themes of loss and redemption keep the story alive.
