Drop Dead Healthy: One Man’s Humble Quest for Bodily Perfection, by A.J Jacobs

A.J. Jacobs has taken on the topics of improving his mind by reading the Encyclopaedia Britannica (The Know-it-all) and improving his spiritual life by following Biblical Old Testament rules and regulations (The Year of Living Biblically). Here he recounts his 24 month effort to whip himself into shape one body part at a time. He interviews a variety of experts, buys products (a juicer, a didgeridoo, a treadmill and many others) and tries various diets and workout regimes. Some of the ideas are absurd, some scientifically sound, but with his wry and humorous writing style, this is a book to enjoy.
